Item: Sheer with Hanky Pocket

Materials: Waist-tie apron in soft pink sheer cotton. The pocket is formed from a large handkerchief that is sewn to the body of the apron on two sides with the top point caught inside the waistband. A plastic ring slides up and down the top corner allowing access from both sides. Hanky is printed with a double row of pink flowers with a white-on-white lacework center. Bright pink rickrack is sewn across the seam of the turned up hem. Handmade and machine-sewn. Very good condition except for a light streaky mark on the body about 8 inches in from the edge—barely visible within the folds when worn. 1960s.
