Item: Embroidered Huck Towels

Size:16" wide x 29 1/2" long
Materials: This matching pair of huckaback towels in a pretty soft orange color (my photos came out too pink), features embroidery known as Swedish weaving. Done with three shades of gray, the stitches are woven under the surface threads (floaters) to create an intricate pattern. Embroidered in the 40s by my grandmother using purchased Fieldcrest towels (the label is still attached). Design appears on one end of each towel with simple embroidered lines on the other end (see last picture for detail of this). Hemmed by hand with slightly darker thread.
