Item: Cross Stitch Embroidered Pansies

Materials: Heavy natural-colored linen with finished top edge and fringed side edges. Embroidered bouquet of pansies worked with six strands of embroidery floss in bright colors—predominantly greens, blues, and purples with some splashes of bright yellows, reds, and oranges within the flowers. Looks kind of like needlpoint but it's all tight cross stitch. I don't know if this was intended as a picture, table scarf, or future pillow but you can use it however you like. In very good condition except for a small pencil eraser-sized spot at the center top—you can just see this in the top photo. A frame will cover this, or it can be sewn into the seam of a pillow cover. 1960s.
