Availability
Most items are one-of-a-kind so there will only one available. If there are more it will be listed in the item description. Every effort is made to remove sold items from the site as soon as possible. If, for some reason you order an item that has already been sold, your payment will be refunded immediately. Or, if you prefer, I may be able to create a similar item.

Ordering
Simply click the BUY NOW button on the product page and the item will be added to your shopping cart. Continue shopping if you like—you can always access the shopping cart by clicking on the little shopping bags at the top right of each page. When you're ready, go to the shopping cart and continue on for payment options. If you're paying with check or money order you'll be given information on where to send payment. If you choose Paypal you'll be taken directly to their site to process your payment. If you choose the credit card option enter your information. Once I've received your order, processed your card, and shipped your item, you'll receive a confirmation email from me.

Please make sure that you provide a valid email address and that you add janet@primrosedesign.com to your address book. This is the address I'll use to send your confirmation and the one I'll use if there are any problems with your order or payment.

Payment Options

There are several options for payment. I accept personal checks, money orders, credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express), and Paypal (bank and credit card transfers). Payment is expected within 7 days. Items paid by check will ship after your check clears (usually 2-3 days). Items paid by money order, credit card, or Paypal will ship within 48 hours of receipt of payment. I'm required to collect 6% sales tax from buyers in Pennsylvania unless you have tax exempt status.

Shipping
Shipping charges for each item are added automatically to your order. If you've ordered multiple items, the shipping will be too high. I charge actual shipping costs but it's impossible to know ahead of time how many items you're ordering or where you're located. So, I'll refund the difference. If you've paid by credit card the extra will be deducted from your total when I process your payment. If you've paid with Paypal I'll issue a refund. You can always email me first if you need an exact figure.

I ship daily via USPS (First-Class, Parcel, or Prority Mail with delivery confirmation). Insurance is available for an extra fee based on the value of the items. And suggested if you've ordered a lot of items or a custom item with sentimental value. I can't be held responsible for packages lost or damaged in transit.

I ship internationally but buyers should be aware that shipping charges may be higher than calculated by my shopping cart. As for cost, it varies by country. First-class International is the least expensive method but delivery times can be as long as 2-4 weeks. Priority International is very reliable and usually arrives in 6-10 days but can be expensive. I'll be happy to supply exact rates ahead of time - just email me.

Returns
Please be aware that the items I sell are either vintage or created from vintage materials. I make every effort to inspect items and materials for damage but you can expect minor wear, imperfections and some fragility. Any noticeable flaws will be mentioned in the item description. However, if I miss something or you're otherwise unhappy with your purchase, please let me know. I'll refund the cost of the item provided it's returned (you pay return shipping) in good condition within 10 days.

Caring for your purchases
I take pride in quality workmanship but, because of the fragile nature of vintage fabrics, linens, and buttons, recommend that you spot clean or hand wash pillow covers with mild soap and cool water. Air-drying is also encouraged as high temperatures may damage the materials used. In most cases the pillow insert is easily removed for this purpose. Vintage and antique items should be cleaned with methods appropriate to their age. This information is readily available on the internet but I'm happy to make suggestions.

Custom Work
Not finding anything that's quite right? Have your own linens but no time to sew? I also do custom orders using your vintage materials. I'll work with you to create a design, provide sketches if you like, and a price estimate. Costs are determined by how much of my own materials will be included and how much detail and hand-sewing or embroidery is needed. After receiving approval of the initial concept and budget I'll complete the finished piece, usually in a couple of weeks.

Privacy Policy
Primrose Design respects your right to privacy and will never rent, sell, or share your personal information. Your email address will only be used to communicate with you about an order you've placed. If you'd like to receive email updates and advance notice of sales, you can sign up for the mailing list on the CONTACT page. The mailing list service I use has a double opt-in system so you can't be signed up if you don't want to be.

When you place an order your mailing address is automatically added to my snail mail list for occasional promotional mailings. If you don't want to be on this list just let me know. If you don't reorder within a couple of years you'll be dropped anyway :)

Wholesale/Consignment
Wholesale prices are available only to shop owners and only on handcrafted items. In order to keep prices reasonable on my vintage items they aren't marked up enough for me to make a profit at wholesale. Please contact me for additional information on wholesale or consignment sales.

Do you purchase vintage items from individuals?
Yes, I often buy from individuals who are settling estates or just wanting to get rid of items they've collected. Email me with information about what you have, what prices you're looking for, and pictures if you have any. Remember that I have to make a profit when I resell them so prices will reflect that. I'm currently looking for vintage handkerchiefs (used for my sachets) and colorful vintage plastic buttons (especially larger sizes).
