This pretty sachet would make the perfect gift for a friend who loves vintage linens. It's handcrafted from a repurposed section of vintage white cotton eyelet trim with a lovely floral design, white-on-white embroidery and a curved row of eyelet holes. It's layered over a contemporary red cotton fabric which is also used on the back. The layers are secured by two red flower buttons. The sachet measures approximately 4.5 inches square. 

Each of my sachets is filled with a mixture of French lavender buds and buckwheat hulls—the lavender for it's intense scent and the buckwheat for lightness (lavender can be expensive and heavy for shipping;  using buckwheat helps offset both these issues). Customers have told me that the scent lasts for years and years; just give them a squeeze to refresh the scent!

Use your sachet in your linen cupboard to repel moths but it's really too pretty to hide away. Lavender is renowned as a sleep aid so keep one on your bedside table for those nights when you're having trouble falling asleep.
