This pretty sachet has been handcrafted from two vintage handkerchiefs. The first is cotton printed with a light blue border and spring flowers—red and pink tulips, and yellow and white daffodils with dark green leaves. Underneath is a second white cotton handkerchief with coordinating yellow crocheted edging. Both are layered over a vintage yellow and white striped poly-cotton fabric; this is also used for the back. The layers are secured by a vintage button stack—one green and one yellow, both flower-shaped. It measures approximately 4.5 inches square. 

Each of my sachets is filled with a mixture of French lavender buds and buckwheat hulls—the lavender for it's intense scent and the buckwheat for lightness (lavender can be expensive and heavy for shipping;  using buckwheat helps offset both these issues). Customers have told me that the scent lasts for years and years; just give them a squeeze to refresh the scent!

Use your sachet in your linen cupboard to repel moths but it's really too pretty to hide away. Lavender is renowned as a sleep aid so keep one on your bedside table for those nights when you're having trouble falling asleep.
